Meinl Musikinstrumente
GmbH & Co. KG is finishing construction on a new cymbal production
facility. Scheduled for completion in July 2003, the new buildings
are located in the small city of Gutenstetten, located near Nurenberg
in the northern part of Bavaria, two miles away from Meinl’s
current headquarters and production facility.
|
All Meinl
and Headliner Cymbals will be produced there from now on (except the
Byzance Series, which are cast and hand hammered in their own factory
in Turkey). All Meinl and Headliner Percussion Instruments will continue
to be made in the companies own factory in Thailand.

Meinl’s export, r&d, and a&r departments will move into the new offices.
This move became necessary because of two main reasons explains the president of the company, Mr. Reinhold Meinl.
First of all we clearly have to separate Meinl’s international business from our wholesale and distribution activities in Germany and Austria.
And secondly, the new factory will ensure that we meet the growing worldwide demand for Meinl Cymbals.
Our new offices and showrooms will also enable us to focus more on promotional activities, invite more drummers to
the factory and also host local clinics.
Effective September 01st, 2003, the company’s mailing address will be:
Meinl Cymbals & Percussion Am Bahnhof 2 91468 Gutenstetten
